This is the forward torpedo room of the famous WWII submarine. She is credited with sinking nine Japanese ships, including three submarines. I have always heard of the close quarters on these boats, but sheesh, this thing is cramped. I was the only one on it for about 30 minutes and even so, I got claustrophobic. I can’t imagine it with 50 or so crew aboard. This decommissioned sub is now serving as a museum and war memorial in Muskogee, OK.
